Welcome to Western Skies Nursery, a division of SueAnn Studios. I wish to share with you my love of reborning. The reborning process begins by giving them a wonderful warm bath and removing all of the applied factory paint. After drying thoroughly, it is time to apply the paints. I use the finest oil paints with a touch of safflower oil so as not to harm the vinyl. On the silicone babies, I use quality stencil creams. Both are heat set for permanence. Then, with great care, I blush all the folds and wrinkles creating the healthy glow of a newborn baby. The hair is micro-rooted premium quality mohair which I apply with the tiniest of felting needles to give an awesome looking head of hair. When I am done, it appears as if the hair is growing right from the scalp. I then select the eyes and hand apply the eyelashes. Here is where the magic begins. Each baby appears to be so real! You find yourself watching and waiting for them to move. I just love this art form. Time to put baby back together! I choose the softest quality cloth body and fill with glass beads to add weight, and baby fat and poly fill for that cuddly baby feel.
Now the fun begins...shopping! I look for a very special outfit. One that will suit the personality of each baby so that they are all truly unique. Then on to the photo shoot!
